Delany sworn in to replace Addiego

TRENTON – The Assembly minority’s replacement for new state Sen. Dawn Marie Addiego (R-Evesham) was sworn in today.

Lumberton Committeeman Pat Delany took her seat, following Addiego’s promotion to fill a Senate seat emptied by Phil Haines’s appointment as a superior court judge.

Delany was the unanimous pick of the Burlington County Republicans in mid-November, and was sworn in today along with Assemblymen Jason O’Donnell (D-Bayonne) and Gilbert “Whip” Wilson (D-Camden).

Both Democrats were confirmed by the voters after being appointed to seats earlier this year.

"Since the print publication of this list, Christie, in his capacity as chairman of the Republican Governors Association, helped decisively turn the midterm elections in the Republicans' favor, which makes him a bit more influential than we initially gave him credit for, post-Bridgegate. So when your state governments do absolutely nothing for you for the next four years, be sure to thank him!"
