Rothman up more than 2 to 1 in Bergen

U.S. Rep. Steve Rothman has a more than  2 to 1 advantage over opponent U.S. Rep. Bill Pascrell.

With just over 40 percent of the vote totaled, Rothman has pulled in 3,859 votes to Pascrell’s 1,769.

Rothman has a lot of ground to make up after Pascrell won Passaic County by a nearly 21,000 plurality.

"He’s obviously working very, very hard at it. I mean he’s traveling all over the country as chairman of the [Republican Governors Association] and I think at this point he has as good a chance or better than anybody else. His name is household word all across the country, and I think he would make a great president."
