Speaker Oliver Considers to Urge Charitable Help Following Devastating Storm

(TRENTON) – Assembly Speaker Sheila Y. Oliver (D-Essex/Passaic) released the following statement Wednesday:

“We’ve all seen the devastation, and now as we move forward, I again ask New Jerseyans to do what they can to help our friends and neighbors hurt by this storm. Some have lost everything, and I know New Jerseyans are ready to open their hearts to help.

“Financial donations can help the Red Cross provide shelter, food, emotional support and other assistance. To donate, people can visit http://www.redcross.org, call 1-800-RED-CROSS or text the word REDCROSS to 90999 to make a $10 donation.

“AmeriCares has launched a response to help people affected by the hurricane, starting with deliveries of water, family emergency kits, and other relief supplies. Please visit http://www.americares.org for more information…”
