State offices closed Tuesday

Gov. Chris Christie announced all state offices will remain closed Tuesday.

The governor authorized the closure Monday afternoon just hours after telling reporters that the worst of Hurricane Sandy has yet to come and urged residents to prepare for flooding and deteriorating weather conditions.

Non-essential employees should not report for their normal day shift Tuesday, Christie’s office said. Essential employees should report to work on schedule.
