Wednesday at a glance

EWING – Gov. Chris Christie took to the sky again Wednesday from New Jersey State Police headquarters in Ewing.

The governor took off the ground headed toward Sayreville, where he will survey the storm damage.

Later today, President Barack Obama will be touching down to tour the Jersey coast with the governor. Both are expected to meet with first responders and residents affected by Hurricane Sandy, which devastated the Jersey shore.

Christie will be flying back to Ewing this evening. He is expected to brief the news media sometime after meeting with cabinet members.

"He’s obviously working very, very hard at it. I mean he’s traveling all over the country as chairman of the [Republican Governors Association] and I think at this point he has as good a chance or better than anybody else. His name is household word all across the country, and I think he would make a great president."
