AP calls 1st for Andrews, 2nd for Lobiondo

The Associated Press has called the 1st Congressional District for incumbent Democratic U.S. Rep. Rob Andrews.

Republican U.S. Rep. Rob Andrews has held onto his 2nd District seat.

Andrews defeated Gregory Horton in the heavily Democratic 1st, which was never considered in play.  In the 1st, LoBiondo defeated Democrat Cassandra Shober to take his tenth term in the House.

"He’s obviously working very, very hard at it. I mean he’s traveling all over the country as chairman of the [Republican Governors Association] and I think at this point he has as good a chance or better than anybody else. His name is household word all across the country, and I think he would make a great president."
