Christie encourages residents to vote

KEANSBERG – Gov. Chris Christie encouraged residents to vote Tuesday in the presidential, state and federal elections.

While some 100 polling sites around the state may not be readily available, due to Hurricane Sandy, the large majority of residents will still get to vote, Christie said during an update here today about recovery operations.

Still, those who don’t have that option can email or fax their votes, Christie said. “Go vote tomorrow,” Christie said.

He said he’s not expecting any legal challenges. “We’re not making it harder to vote, we’re making it easier.”

But if anyone does, “get in line.” The crowd erupted in laughter.

"I don't think what he's doing tonight, the method by which he's doing it helps to build a trustful relationship."
