Mosquera wins in 4th

 

Democratic Assemblywoman Gabriela Mosquera has retained her 4th District seat.

Mosquera won the seat by a margin of 23 points.

Mosquera won election to the Assembly in the open 4th District last November, but her victory was challenged by Republican Shirley Lovett on the grounds that Mosquera had not lived in the district for one year prior to the election.  The challenge was successful, but the judge ruled that Democrats could choose the seat’s holder until a special election could be held and they chose Mosquera.
