Obama accepts Christie’s invitation to participate on conference calls

In the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, President Barack Obama joined New Jersey elected officials on a Thursday conference call organized by Gov. Chris Christie.

The president fielded at least three questions, including one from Essex County Executive Joe DiVincenzo, who asked about the federal delivery system for fuel assistance.

Obama was scheduled to continue to participate in the calls.
