Bermudez victorious in Vineland mayor’s election

Businessman Ruben Bermudez has defeated incumbent Mayor Robert Romano in the Vineland mayor’s special runoff election.

Bermudez was backed by the Latino Leadership Alliance of New Jersey and Martin Perez (pictured above left with the mayor-elect).

Bermudez is the first Latino mayor of Vineland.

Unofficially, Bermudez received 5,093 machine votes to Romano’s 3,962.
