CHIUSANO STATEMENT ON TODAY’S BUDGET COMMITTEE MEETING

Assembly Republican Budget Committee member Gary Chiusano, R-Sussex, Warren and Morris, issued the following statement on today’s Assembly Budget Committee meeting intended to help create jobs and grow the economy in New Jersey: “The goals of today’s agenda are admirable and ones that Republicans have long championed. However, we need a bipartisan, comprehensive and coherent approach to create private sector jobs. “We must work together on practical solutions that are cost conscious and nonpartisan, especially considering the enormous financial toll New Jersey faces to rebuild our state after Hurricane Sandy. “Growing our state’s economy while repairing the shore will be an enormous challenge that cannot be accomplished piece meal. It requires a united effort to strengthen our state and its economy.” ####

"He’s obviously working very, very hard at it. I mean he’s traveling all over the country as chairman of the [Republican Governors Association] and I think at this point he has as good a chance or better than anybody else. His name is household word all across the country, and I think he would make a great president."
