Source: Jackson will not run for governor

A source close to recently resigned EPA chief Lisa Jackson said Jackson has no intention of running for governor.

Jackson resigned from the EPA today, a move which set off some minor speculation that she might be setting up for a 2013 challenge to Gov. Chris Christie.  But Jackson, who is rumored to be in line for the presidency of Princeton University, has no interest in running for governor, a source told PolitickerNJ.

Jackson is a former state Department of Environmental Protection commissioner and had a brief stint as chief of staff to Gov. Jon Corzine.  Insiders believe her intelligence, political saavy and reputation would make her a strong candidate for elected office.
