Bob Schroeder is in the house

Though his colleagues in the Assembly have called on him to resign amid allegations that he stole money from lenders and wrote millions in bad checks, Assemblyman Bob Schroeder was in the house today for the annual State of the State address.

Schroeder was indicted on charges of issuing bad checks, misconduct by a corporate official and theft by deception.  Last month, Assembly Minority Leader Jon Bramnick called for Schroeder’s resignation, saying he can no longer serve his constituents.

But even as candidates line up to challenge for his District 39 seat, Schroeder was on hand for the annual address.

"I don't think what he's doing tonight, the method by which he's doing it helps to build a trustful relationship."
