In LD 39, Bidwell announces candidacy against Cardinale

From Mahwah, Democrat Jan Bidwell Wednesday formally launched her state Senate campaign in the 39th Legislative District.

“Our district needs a senator who understands the challenges of citizens who are buckling under the burden of high taxes and budget cuts, who are unemployed, who deserve to be paid a fair wage,” said Bidwell, a social worker. “The 39th District deserves a senator who strongly denounces corruption.”

Veteran state Sen. Gerald Cardinale (R-39) is the incumbent.

“My campaign is going to use modern tools to reach out to the voters of the 39th District like no one has before,” Bidwell said.

Bidwell served as a member of Gov. Jon Corzine’s transition team on Corzine’s Child Welfare Policy Group.

"The possible 2017 contender for the governorship shouldered Thanksgiving birds alongside Stack, who took the insanity of his annual turkey drive to another level this year, launching a 20,000-bird door-to-door offensive."
