Quigley won’t run for JC City Council seat

Former Assemblywoman Joan Quigley (D-32) said she has had many conversations about a return to the life of an elected official, this time at the local level.

In a developing citywide contest, allies of Jersey City Mayor Jerry Healy approached her to run for the Ward B Council seat.

Quigley even had some people approach her about her own mayoral run.

But she won’t run this year – not for council and not for mayor.

“I will not do either at this point,” Quigley told PolitickerNJ.com. “I will probably endorse a candidate but I don’t intend to be one.”

"The governor still has to come to bat."
