RIBLE: SWEENEY STATEMENT “EXTREMELY DISTURBING”

RIBLE: SWEENEY STATEMENT “EXTREMELY DISTURBING” Assembly Republican Conference Leader Dave Rible, R-Monmouth and Ocean, issued the statement below in response to a comment today by Senate President Stephen Sweeney that Hurricane Sandy is Gov. Christie’s job package and that “he prayed a lot and got luck a storm came.”: “It’s extremely disturbing that the Senate President is choosing to politicize the unspeakable suffering so many thousands of our residents continue to endure as a result of Sandy. I have met many of my constituents who have been so adversely affected by this historic storm and have seen first hand their day to day struggles to cope and recover. “The Senate President has made our residents pawns in his political games. To suggest Governor Christie is using the storm to formulate policy is unconscionable as he has shown nothing but outstanding leadership and empathy in it’s aftermath. “Senator Sweeney’s comment is shocking and appalling and every New Jerseyan should be highly insulted.” #### On the Net: http://www.NJAssemblyRepublicans.com NJ Assembly Republicans on Facebook NJ Assembly Republicans on Twitter

"It’s not a political environment that’s particularly warm for incumbents, but it looks like Booker has little to be worried about as the campaign season draws to a close."
