Source: In Edison, Ricigliano will have to run off the line

A source told PolitickerNJ.com that the Edison Democratic Committee will put its support behind Councilman Tom Lankey this year instead of incumbent Mayor Toni Ricigliano, who’s running for a second four-year term.

Ricigliano deposed incumbent Mayor Jun Choi in the 2009 mayoral campaign.

Seeking establishment Democratic Party backing for a run at a council seat in his hometown of Edison is Charles Burton, chief of staff to Assemblyman (and State Party Chairman) John Wisniewski (D-19).
