Women’s Political Caucus of New Jersey to Host Sixth Annual Passion, Power, and Progress Awards
For Immediate Release Contact: Lisa Mizrahi Kaado January 22, 2013 (908) 202-8386Trenton, NJ– Tonight at 6 p.m., the Women’s Political Caucus of New Jersey will host its Sixth Annual Passion ♦ Power ♦ Progress Awards Dinner at the New Brunswick Hyatt Regency, emceed by the Honorable Jeannine Frisby LaRue. Honorees are selected for their contributions as role models, activists, and agents of social change. This year’s honorees include leaders in public policy, social service, and activism. WPCNJ is dedicated to honoring New Jersey’s most distinguished and dedicated leaders – men and women, Republicans, Democrats and Independents. In October, we were delighted to honor Lieutenant Governor Kim Guadagno with the First Annual Carol Murphy Award at the home of Anne Evans Estabrook. This year the Barbara Boggs Sigmund Award will be given out as well. We will be honoring Senator Nia Gill as this year’s winner—who joins an illustrious group of New Jersey’s most prominent women leaders. The award will be presented by Lisa Mizrahi Kaado, former President of WPCNJ. Last time, we honored Assemblywoman Linda Stender and Bergen County Executive Kathleen Donovan. Last year’s Passion ♦ Power ♦ Progress Awards event was truly remarkable as we presented our Good Guys Awards to two men who really get it – Assembly Republican Leader Jon Bramnick and Senator Raymond Lesniak. This year we are equally excited to honor Assemblyman Joseph Cryan, presented by Assemblywoman Annette Quijano and Christopher Daggett, President and CEO, Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation, presented by Barbara Lawrence. We are also thrilled to honor Susan A. Feeney, Esq., Former President of the New Jersey State Bar Association and Partner at McCarter & English, with this year’s Mary Philbrook award, which will be presented by Mike Guariglia, Esq. The Associate Alumnae of Douglass College will receive the Social Justice award which will be presented by the Honorable Jeanne Fox, New Jersey Board of Public Utilities Commissioner. Saki Dodelson, Founder, President and CEO Achieve 3000 will be honored with the Corporate Award, which will be presented by the Honorable Michel Bitritto.
