Fair Lawn – February 21, 2013 – The Fair Lawn Republicans today announced Dan Dunay and Amy Lefkowitz as their nominees for Fair Lawn Borough Council in 2013. Both candidates are running as The Cosgrove Team, committed to reelecting John Cosgrove as Mayor if they are elected. Mayor Cosgrove said “I am delighted that Dan and Amy have agreed to run for Borough Council. They are both extremely qualified candidates who will bring critical skills and perspectives to the Council. I need Dan and Amy to help me continue providing strong, responsible leadership for Fair Lawn.” Cosgrove also reiterated the key principles of the Cosgrove Team, including: • Limit the tax burden • Maintain our valuable local amenities to benefit today’s residents and future generations • Support our community, including local volunteer, emergency response, civic, and religious groups • Listen to all residents about their concerns and take action whenever possible Dan Dunay, a third generation Fair Lawn resident and graduate of Fair Lawn High School, said “I’m honored that the Fair Lawn Republicans would give me their endorsement. It means so much to me that we work together to keep Fair Lawn strong. I want to do whatever I can to help Fair Lawn and its residents thrive.” Dan is a principal at a New York financial services firm and is involved in several community organizations. Amy Lefkowitz, a local attorney and active resident, added “I’m also very excited to help maintain responsible leadership for Fair Lawn. Dunay and Lefkowitz are nominated in lieu of Deputy Mayors Jeanne Baratta and Ed Trawinski, who intend to retire from the council after their current terms expire this year.
