Menendez and Booker featured in RNC Valentine’s Day cards

The Republican National Committee (RNC) lampooned U.S. Sen. Bob Menendez (D-NJ) and Newark Mayor Cory Booker in two of 20 Valentine’s Day cards it unveiled on its website today in time for the holiday.

“Can I interest you in a romantic get-a-way?” says the Menendez card, an allusion to the embattled senator’s Dominican Republic troubles and alleged cavorting with prostitutes.

The Booker card pokes fun at the mayor’s amition to be U.S. Senator.

“Sen. Lautenberg, I’d love to make this valentine a retirement card,” it reads.

"He’s obviously working very, very hard at it. I mean he’s traveling all over the country as chairman of the [Republican Governors Association] and I think at this point he has as good a chance or better than anybody else. His name is household word all across the country, and I think he would make a great president."
