Bowser’s Farewell

BY BOB BOWSER To the citizens of the great city of East Orange, I am eternally grateful that you have allowed me to serve as your Mayor for the past sixteen years.

As a community of concerned citizens, you have been willing participants in the ambitious enterprise of helping to make East Orange a strong and thriving community.

In all the work we have done as a community and every decision I have made, we have remained focused on achieving our goals. Goals like ensuring a clean and safe environment as well as fostering policies that inspired a renewed sense of civic pride and, prosperity through the revitalization of our neighborhoods and commercial corridors; these were worthy and achievable goals that were set and accomplished.

Marilyn and I are forever grateful for the support of our campaign and the dedicated members of my administration, as well as the many committed individuals who served on Boards and Commissions and with numerous civic organizations.

As your Mayor, I will soon leave office more empowered than the day I arrived and confident in the greatness that lies ahead.

Thank you. May God continue to bless the great City of East Orange and God bless America.

Bob Boswer is the Mayor of East Orange. He was defeated yesterday in his re-election bid by attorney Lester Taylor.
