Booker Campaign releases second television ad

Newark Mayor Cory Booker’s U.S. Senate campaign has launched its second statewide television ad, “When.”

“When you bring people together to focus on our real problems, even the most difficult things become possible,” Booker says in a voiceover in the spot. “When we are unafraid to be innovative and reach for new answers, remarkable things can happen. That’s why I’m running for Senate. Because I know, New Jersey, that together we can do better.”

The new ad outlines Booker’s record of attracting new business and jobs to Newark, standing up to the gun lobby to curb violent crime and bringing in $200 million in new investment for Newark schools.

"He’s obviously working very, very hard at it. I mean he’s traveling all over the country as chairman of the [Republican Governors Association] and I think at this point he has as good a chance or better than anybody else. His name is household word all across the country, and I think he would make a great president."
