Accompanied by Stack, Christie looks to rock the Hispanic vote

UNION CITY – The maracas drive overtime here at Election Time, and today expert hands shook them to the beat of an original composition that went something like this: “Vota para Christie, vota para Christie, vota para Christie.”

It proved popular as the source of inspiration for the song moved slowly through a sea of Hispanic humanity.

Mayor Brian P. Stack walked beside Gov. Chris Christie, who hopes to be able to radiate Hispanic strength on Nov. 5 on his way to making his 2016 argument that he can court and win Latinos.

Christie was in Union City today but one didn’t have to strain to see that GOP Primary showdown between Christie and the Marco Rubios and Ted Cruzes of the world.

Even if he doesn’t prove as strong with Hispanics elsewhere, he’ll have at least 10,000 Hispanic votes – that’s the vote total out of Union City when Stack looks for a power statement come election time.

"I don't think what he's doing tonight, the method by which he's doing it helps to build a trustful relationship."
