Press Release

AARONSON & MCMORROW FOR FREEHOLDER

Release Date: Oct 27 2005

Republicans spread more lies ...
In yet another act of desperation the Monmouth County Republicans have countered the Democrats real solutions with distracting lies.

In a television ad and mailer paid for by the Monmouth County Republican Party they claim the treasurer for Rebecca Aaronson’s campaign was raided by the FBI.
FALSE

No member of any of Rebecca Aaronson's campaigns have had thier offices raided by the FBI.

Perhaps they are confusing Aaronson’s headquarters with the Republican controlled Monmouth County government, where 8 county employees have been indicted or arrested by the FBI in the last year, as well as 3 county contractors who received contracts after donating to the Republican Party.

They also claim that Rebecca Aaronson raised Manalapan’s taxes by 22% in the last 5 years.
FALSE

In her six year tenure, Manalapan’s tax rate has remained steady, only raising the tax bills by 7.5%, at the same time that the county tax bills were raised by 40%.

In a press release posted on their website, they also alleged that there is some impropriety regarding their ELEC forms. FALSE

The Aaronson and McMorrow ELEC reports have been accurately filed by their treasurer, Glenn Cashion.

Instead of inventing fictional tales of ethically challenged candidates – perhaps the Republicans should take a page from their own book. Tales of Freeholder Directors taking bribes, of $22 million worth of county contracts going to contributors and let’s not forget the political cronies who make 6 figures, and have a county paid take home car.

When you have no platform for change you create distractions. What do these lies say about the Republicans?
