MONMOUTH GOP SAVES TAX DOLLARS
- McMorrow & Gibadlo Attend Freeholder Meeting and Say NOTHING -

Freehold Borough, NJ – At last night’s Freeholder Board meeting, Monmouth County Freeholders announced that the county will potentially save taxpayers millions of dollars from a number of proactive cost saving measures.

“Saving tax payer dollars is my number one priority, said Monmouth County Freeholder Anna Little. “I continually work with my colleagues on the board to find ways to maximize efficiencies to reduce cost and create tax relief.

During the Freeholder meeting last night the board announced a projected revenue of $3.3 million through an agreement with the City of Philadelphia for the housing of correctional inmates. In addition, Monmouth County’s award winning methane gas to electricity program profited nearly $1 million and the new natural gas agreement has saved $83,000 this year and is projected to save up to $600,000 for taxpayers next year.

“Our opponents are dead wrong when they criticize me for wasteful spending, Freeholder Little said. “The proof is in pudding and I have a solid record with it comes to reforming the way Freehold does business.

Monmouth County Democrat candidates for Freeholder Barbara McMorrow and Greg Gibadlo were in attendance at last nights meeting. Monmouth County GOP candidate for Freeholder Andrew Lucas, who also attended the meeting, said he was surprised that his opponents refused the opportunity to address the public and the board.

“It seemed like the cat had their tongue last night. I guess they didn’t like hearing that the Freeholders actually do save tax payer dollars, said GOP candidate for Freeholder Andrew Lucas. “They had an opportunity to address the board and the public on how they would do things differently and didn’t.

Recently, the GOP candidates pointed out that the Monmouth County Democrat campaign was in disarray and have failed to put forth a campaign platform of ideas on how they would reform county government. So far, the Democrat candidates have done nothing but play the blame game and reject campaign finance reform measures.

“It was evident last night that our opponents have no ideas, said Lucas. “My running mates and I have proposed a real plan on the issues facing taxpayers. I have a proven record of cutting the taxes and spending at the municipal level and I will add that experience to the board.
