STACK: PROPERTY TAX REFORM PROPOSALS
WILL PROVE BENEFICIAL TO ALL NJ SCHOOLS
(UNION CITY) – Assemblyman Brian Stack, a member of the Joint Legislative Committee on Public School Funding Reform, released the following statement regarding the property tax reform proposals released today by committee co-chairmen Senator John Adler and Assemblyman Herb Conaway M.D.:"The co-chairmen have succinctly boiled down three months of work into a comprehensive, workable plan for balancing the needs of school children and property taxpayers.
"Most importantly, these recommendations keep quality education paramount regardless of whether a child lives in a city, suburb, or rural hamlet.
"All our children deserve the same chance at a world-class education, whether they reside in Union City or Cherry Hill.
"I look forward to reviewing this exhaustive report and working over the coming weeks and months to ensure that both our schools and property taxpayers enter the next academic year with real reforms in place."
