The Bergen County Democratic Organization has announced the meeting at which they’ll pick the replacement for State Senator Joe Coniglio.
The meeting will be held on Sunday at 6 pm at BCDO headquarters in Hackensack. It will be closed to everyone except staff, municipal chairs, candidates and county committee members.
In the running for the state Senate seat are Assemblyman Bob Gordon, Assemblywoman Joan Voss and Paramus Mayor James Tedesco. Although Bergen County Freeholder candidate Connie Wagner is said to be vying for the position, BCDO Chairman Joe Ferriero said that she has not yet expressed her intentions to him.

What a joke.
Are these people really trying to pretend that a legitimate process is in place? Do they think everyone is an idiot? The real meeting already took place at The Stony Hill or Solari's This has already been decided. The herd being cast for the sake of appearances. I think I'll watch Sunday Night Football. Just when you thought the arrogance had hit a ceiling, a trap door swings open and it get even uglier. BTW, is Dennis Oury considered "staff" ?
What happened to the 100 day requirement?
There is 55 days to E-Day, only 45 days too late.
You cannot place your name on the ballot without filing a petition, 100 days prior to election day. The deadline is past!!!
This should have to go to the NJ Extreme Court before it can be done. You might considering scrapping all the election laws and deadlines and petition requirements while you're at it. Additionally, the Democrats must pay for the reprinting of ballots.
