BERGEN GOP GIULIANI FUNDRAISER A SUCCESS THANKS TO RED FACTION LEADER
Funds Will Help Finance Local Elections
Teaneck NJ -- Last night’s Bergen County Republican fundraiser honoring GOP Presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani raised over $60,000 for local Republican organizations, according to Joseph Caruso, the chief fundraiser for the event.
Caruso, chairman of The Red Faction Political Action Committee, and the county Republican organization’s finance chairman, said the event “demonstrated what can be done to reinvigorate the Republican Party in Bergen County when we all work hard toward a common goal."Â
Caruso told the crowd that: “Republicans are on the path to total victory in New Jersey and we are starting in Bergen County.â€? Â
The event attracted 250 people including many local office holders. Assemblyman Kevin O’Toole, who is running for the District 40 state Senate seat, said: “This event is an awesome display of leadership by Joe Caruso, who has become a tremendous asset to the Republican Party in North Jersey. With young energetic people like Joe with us, the GOP will rebound and we will win many elections.â€? Â
Robert Ortiz, an attorney from Ridgewood and a GOP fundraiser said he was impressed by the turnout and the energy generated by the Giuliani supporters. “I think this event demonstrates that with the right people on the ticket and the right strategy, Republicans can once again become the dominant party in Bergen County.â€?Â
Caruso said most of the money from last night’s event will be parceled out to local Republican organizations and candidates who are running competitive races this year. Â
“I want to support local candidates who will work hard to beat Democrats and win on the municipal and county level,â€? said Caruso. “This is how we will rebuild the Republican Party in Bergen. Â
