Birds of a Feather…

Surrogate-Elect George Kotch Welcomes Embattled U.S. Senator to Burlington County (Mount Holly, NJ) – Today, Surrogate-elect George Kotch will finally be sworn into office after being missing in action for the past three weeks. Ethically challenged United States Senator Bob Menendez will swear Mr. Kotch into office.

As reported in the New York Times on December 9, 2006, a federal grand jury started to investigate Senator Menendez and his interactions with a federal funded non-profit group.

“George Kotch has stooped to a new low, said Rich Levesque, Executive Director of the Burlington County Republican Committee. “He has finally decided to be sworn into office after three weeks of trying to figure out how to squeeze the most he could out of Burlington County taxpayers. He has been silent on the ethically questionable conduct of his Democrat County Chairman Rick Perr and his wife Cindy Perr. Worse yet, he has asked that Senator Bob Menendez, who is under federal investigation, swear him into office.

“Whether it is Rick Perr trying to pad the pockets of his wife’s law firm or George Kotch trying to collect as many pensions as possible, you can almost guarantee that U.S Senator Bob Menendez will support that activity. I can think of no one better to stand next to these two ethically compromised people than Bob Menendez, added Levesque.

In the last three weeks alone, Cindy Perr’s law firm, Gluck Walrath, LLC of Trenton has been appointed township solicitor of Pemberton Township, solicitor to the Riverside bond council, and Special Counsel to the Cinnaminson School Board.

Since Kotch has been elected Burlington County residents have been able to see how ethically and morally challenged George Kotch and Rick Perr are. Burlington County taxpayers do not deserve this type of leadership in their elected offices.
