Burlington endorses Estabrook, Myers; picks Farias' daughter for Freeholder

Burlington County Republicans voted tonight to endorse Anne Evans Estabrook for U.S. Senate, Medford Deputy Mayor Christopher Myers for Congress, Stacy Jordan for Freeholder and Gary Woodend for County Clerk.

Jordan, the daughter of former Freeholder Vincent Farias, will replace Dawn Addiego, who was elected to the State Assembly last year.

Woodend, a Medford Lakes Councilman, was picked to replace Phil Haines.  Haines was elected to the State Senate in 2007.  The appointment of a new County Clerk is made by Gov. Jon Corzine, with the advise and consent of the State Senate; Corzine has not yet said who he would appoint -- if anybody.

why no Jersey Joe?

Its a little early to endorse Estabrook, isn't it?

Did Jersey Joe even get a chance to speak?

Nope

No, he did not speak. That's because he left before the nominations were even announced. He heard ahead of time he wasn't getting it, so he peaced. Sabrin was not given the opportunity to speak, but at least he stayed.
