Former New York Giants linebacker Carl Banks will headline a $1,000-per-person fundraiser for Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama on Sunday at the home of Donna and John MacPhee in Ridgewood. Rep. Steve Rothman, Newark Mayor Cory Booker and State Sen. Loretta Weinberg will also be in attendance.
Banks won’t be the only ex-NFL player at the event: Elnardo Webster, a politically powerful attorney and Booker’s former law firm, played briefly for the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 1990’s.

Banks an all time great
Carl banks. Outside linebacker for the Giants. That's right #58. He was part of the best linebacker squad of all time in the NFL. LT, Harry carson, and Gary Reasons. These guys were the best ever.
