In case you hadn't noticed, it's "Hold Me Accountable" Week on PoliticsNJ.com

What?

Not only have we seen this cartoon from Tornoe everyweek for the past year (OK OK Rob we get it the Governor his money and Carla Katz you think it looks fishy) -it makes no sense. What is he getting at, where is the insight, what point is he making...? Seriously, Tornoe is terrible he should be dropped. I know everyone who reads this knows I am a Corzine fan-but objectivly this cartoon makes no sense. Lets pretend that everything on Saint Peter's list is a a check against Corzine or is a mistake that he has made-would it condem the man to Hell? Is Corzine on his deathbed? Are we to assume that this angel figure is the voters of New Jersey? (Again this is an objective statement), Corzine's recent poll numbers are strong-which can be read as "NJ is holding Corzine accountable and they like what they see". Regardless of whether or not you agree with the poll's findings even Republicans would find them hard to base a political cartoon off of. Really regardless of politics this is just a terrible cartoon. Have any of the things on that list caused massive catastrophe that would cause St. Peter to question whether or not Corzine has a place past the pearly gates? Even the artwork is subpar. Is there anyone out there that actually finds him interesting, engaging, insightful?

Tornoe is fantastic!!!!

I look forward to Tornoe's cartoons each week. He is great and I'm a big fan. Clearly SJ Blue has a problem with Tornoe (maybe its personal) because he bitches about the cartoons all the time. politicsnj has made it clear that this is hold me accountable week, you'd have to be a moron not to get that. when are you ever going to be more accountable than you are on judgment day? this was another strong effort for tornoe good job Tornoe

I understand, but...

...I don't quite get why he's talking to St. Pete. He's not dead!

As always, the cartoon is drawn great, and I'm a fan of Tornoe's cartoons. But this weeks effort doesn't hit the mark in my humble opinion.

And I agree with you Frank, and as i've said before, SJBlue is just a hater!

Def

I am a hater because all of his cartoons are terrible. They rarely if ever show insight. Esp in this case, where two recent polls suggest that NJ is happy with Corzine. Seriously, it is not a personel thing. I commented that a few of cartoons were good. But someone please explain to me what the heck this cartoon means-why St. Pete? are the offenses listed worhty of outright Biblical damnation?

to SJBLUE

I don't care for Fox news, so I don't watch it, i just go to a different channel. If you don't like Tornoe (I do), then just skip his stuff. I think there's a reason you post a criticism of him on wednesday mornings.

I post on everything

I'm not shy. Pardon me for expressing an opinion, however I doubt that this forum is intended for the "I just dont watch" crowd. The reason I post about Tornoe on Wednesday's is because he produces terrible cartoons that offer no real humor or insight-that is what a political cartoonist is supposed to do. I am not singling Tornoe out, I would have the same response to Torch, Whitman etc..if all they did was drole out the same ham-handed blog everyweek. By the way, I wmight be the most vocal about my usual disdani for Tornoe's sub-amature work, but I am certainly not alone on this cite.

tornoe is great

started off slow but really has come along, great job tornoe

"I have come to the realization that politics are too serious a matter to be left to the politicians."

Explain

Please explain why this cartoon is great? Tornoe's cartoon with Lance on the milk cartoon was good-but that was about it.
