U.S. Attorney Christopher Christie will join Republican legislators in the 13th district for a Town Meeting on April 26 in Middletown. The non-political event will allow the federal prosecutor to "discuss the actions his office has taken to protect our children and neighborhoods from drugs and gang violence; to combat terrorism and ensure homeland security; to fight white collar crime; and to once and for all show that the people of New Jersey will no longer stand for public corruption," according to a press release issued by State Sen. Joseph Kyrillos' office.Â
Assemblyman Samuel Thompson and Assemblywoman Amy Handlin will join Christie and Kyrillos at the forum, to be held at 7:30 PM at Middletown High School North.

Non political event my tukus
It's the Republican legislators inviting the former Republican Freeholder and Bush Pioneer US Attorney who is widely rumored to be setting up a run for Governor in 2009.
Nah, it's not political at all.
Trenton-Thinking Strikes Again
I don't see how this is helpful to the U.S. Attorney, whether it be in his current job or future campaign. It's hard to believe he would sign up for this...talk about eroding your brand.
Is Chris Christie breaking the law........
I thought US Attorneys were not suppopsed to do anything political while in office. I believe The Hatch Act covers this and one would have to see very openly, that it appears that Chris Christie is breaking the law. Could it be he's running for Governor in three more years. Could it be he's part of the Alberto Gonzales US Attorneys filing cases against Democrats, was that 94% of the cases he has filed have been against Democrats. I think someone in power needs to have a talking with this rouge fellow......
Whitman seems to be the
Whitman seems to be the luckiest gal in NJ. Charges against her for her declarations of "safe air" at the ground zero that has cause multiple deaths and hundreds suffering from life threatening diseases, were dropped because the court said she was not responsible. Additionally, McGreevey (who never went to jail for accepting bribes) took the spotlight off her dismal record. Now, she is latching on to Chris Christie as an attempt to seek relevance. But Chris Christie is highly over-rated. Finding corruption in New Jersey is like shooting fish in a barrel. If he was truly good at his job, 75% of the legislature would be in Jail.
Republican Conscience
75% ?
I think it would be a lot higher than 75%! I find it hard to believe that the only indicted official in Camden County so far is Wayne Bryant. He was so blantant about his corruption that it was virtually impossible not to indict him. I hope Christie keeps looking cause there are plenty more "fish" in the Camden County barrel.
Should be like old times for Kyrillos / Christie
Should be like old times for Kyrillos / Christie given the history of campaign contributions to Kyrillos by Christie, his wife & brother Todd: Christopher Christie 9/26/1997 $1,000.00 Mendham, NJ 3/22/1999 $1,800.00 9/24/2001 $2,200.00 Mary Pat Christie 4/24/2001 $1,350.00 Mendham, NJ 9/24/2001 $2,200.00 Todd Christie 4/26/1999 $500.00 Mendham, NJ 10/2/2001 $1,000.00 4/1/2002 $500.00 4/30/2003 $2,200.00 5/1/2003 $500.00 4/30/2004 $2,200.00 6/14/2005 $1,600.00
