Corzine did what Kerry, Kennedy couldn't

In case you missed it: Governor Jon Corzine delivered New Jersey to his preferred presidential candidate, Hillary Clinton – something some other major political leaders could not do. Barack Obama had endorsements from the two United States Senators from Massachusetts, Edward Kennedy and John Kerry, but still lost the state to Clinton. And Governor Janet Napolitano could not produce an Obama win in Arizona.

Corzine bump?

It's more likely that Clinton would have won NJ by 20 points if he had backed Obama instead.

Where's the Proof of that?

Wally Edge, for a political sophisticate, you are pretty naive.  We are to believe that Corzine, who gets fruit tossed at him at a Marlboro high school, served this up on a silver platter for Hill?  Don't think so.

Your premise is flawed

Politicians love to believe that their endorsements mean something, but of course they don't.  Especially in this primary, where the electorate is paying attention, and knows the differences between the candidates, they are making their own educated choices.  Show me a single voter who said in an exit poll, "I was on the fence about it, but then Corzine convinced me."  It's laughable.

Menendez, Clinton

The two major political victories (not in terms of policy) for Corzine have been a) choosing Menendez as his senate replacement and having him resoundingly win that seat and b) now having Clinton win the state with his organizational support and endorsement. These are feathers in his cap, no question about it.

I have to agree

While Corzine may not be as strong in the polls as he was. NJ Dems are not yet ready to discard him just yet. Behind closed doors people are now saying that they wished he would have sold the highways and he still has plenty of money

If Clinton had not won

you Republicans would have roasted Corzine for not being able to deliver his state.  When he did, you try to denigrate it.  NJ turned a darker shade of blue this year and you're in denial.  Think I am wrong?  Then ask youself this:  why have none of the congressional delegation been willing to give up their seats this year and run against Sen. Lautenberg, who you all consider beatable?  Because they love being in the House minority so much??
