Crowley set to enter Senate race

HAMILTON -- Princeton businessman John Crowley is poised to enter the U.S. Senate race, according to Mercer County Republican Chairman Roy Wesley.

“Crowley has indicated, at least to me, that he’s interested in becoming a candidate for U.S. Senate,” said Wesley.

The Mercer County Republicans were set to endorse a U.S. Senate candidate at a convention tonight at 7:30, but the entrance of a Mercer native has led to a motion on the floor to defer the endorsement to the Executive Committee.

Crowley is not expected to attend the convention tonight.

“I talked to him today and he said yes. He’s touching base with the other chairmen.”

He doesn't own a bar but...

he does live in NJ, which is more than any of the other candidates.  Lautenberg lives in New York City, Pennacchio lives on Mars and Sabrin lives in a galaxy far far away.

John Ashcroft should run.

Come on now....Won't anyone bite? How many names will surface? Here's a tip. Which Democratic Passaic County Freeholder and new Democratic Assemblywoman was a republican for 33 years? Gee, she should run. Switching is ok. So is climbing.

If I Recall Correctly...

I think the order of entry was supposed to be Papa Smurf, Michael Jackson, Chewbacca, and Tony Soprano...

Boy oh boy has the NJGOP become a real circus act. What an embarassment. I'm starting to have little faith in the party winning anything come November.
