The Doug Forrester factor

In the end, Barack Obama came no closer to Hillary Clinton than Doug Forrester came to Frank Lautenberg and Jon Corzine. Clinton appears to have won New Jersey by more than 100,000 votes – a 54%-44% margin. It was a solid win fueled by strong showings in Bergen, Hudson, Camden, Passaic and Middlesex counties. Clinton carried sixteen counties; Obama won Essex, Mercer, Somerset, Hunterdon and Union counties.

John McCain won all 21 counties, beating Mitt Romney by a 55%-28% margin; he won by more than 150,000 votes. Mike Huckabee received 8% and Ron Paul won 5%.

Essex & Hudson

Obama winning Essex is important for Booker.  Not surprising that Obama didn't win in Hudson though.
