On CNBC, Corzine says he has the option of voting for Obama at Democratic convention

Appearing on CNBC’s Squawk Box this morning, Gov. Jon Corzine said that if Hillary Clinton is unable to carry the popular vote in the Democratic presidential primaries against Barack Obama, he has the option to change his superdelegate vote from Clinton to Obama.  Corzine did not say that he was changing his vote – only suggesting that he could – and made it clear that he believes Clinton will win more popular votes than Obama by the end of the primary season.

Not Jon!

Was it Clinton, who called Gov. Richardson - "Judas", or was it somebody else?

Loyalty

Only so much loyalty Hillary can demand at this point, but... For once, follow Schumer's lead: commit to Hillary because that's how your state Dems voted.

Stick with Hillary!

The one good thing about Corzine is that he's supporting Hillary and not Barack.

What A Two-Faced Scumbag!

Boy, Corzine is really loyal. Does this man have multiple personalities or is he bi-polar?

Sucking up to Obama is not going to work at this point because:

1) You should vote the way NJ did.

2) Me, along with a few other folks, who voted for and contributed to Obama have already met with some folks (not saying who) and we discussed NJ finances, the politics in NJ, the current state of affairs, and its future direction.

It is my feeling that I would be shocked if ANY NJ politico got appointed to any of Obama's cabinet positions, or anything else that matters. I thing there is a dog catcher's job that will open up at the Capital Building though!

Reap what you sow folks! Corzine, Codey, Menendez - you're OUT!

Thanks for the scoop, I'll be forwarding a copy of it to Clinton's camp. I'm sure they already know about it but I just want to be sure.

It's just going to get better, you'll see.

the people's will be damned

I despise Hillary, but she did win NJ and NJ's superdelegates should honor that vote result.  To do otherwise is to play the same sort of disenfranchising game that Hillary's already planning.  Not sure what Corzine thinks he gets out of this.

2010

I doubt the Dems in NJ, a majority of whom voted for Hillary, will forget this in 2010, when Corzine is up for re-election...oh yeah, that and trying to raise tolls 300% ;)

...matters not.

McCain will be President.

Obama, should he win the primary, has a future, but he will not be elected President in 2008.

Hillary is washed up and her likely defeat at or before the convention will only be the icing on a successful, if not misguided and selfish, career.

Now the Democrats in control in NJ, the ones that backed Hillary so strongly, will make New Jersey as irrelevant to national Democrats as we are to national Republicans.

Wait Wait I want a job too!

Studmoose I believe your correct, Jon expected an appointment from Hillary and was planning on leaving the economic mess of NJ behind.

I believe he's trying to get that appointment no matter who wins the democratic nomination.

Forget it Jon, looks like your stuck here in NJ for the rest of your term.

Of course I know at least YOU can afford to live here.

No Future for Obama

Yes, McCain will win the WH.  Yes, Obama will beat Hillary.  But Obama will be slaughtered in the general election because people have finally discovered what a fraud he is.  His wife had never been proud of our great nation in her adult life - 25+ years - despite the fact that America has responded to disaster after disaster and won the Cold War during that span.  Why is she not proud?  Because her mind has been poisoned by the vitriol spewed by her pastor for 20 years.  And Obama exposed his children to that hateful environment every week which speaks volumes for his judgement.  Most Americans will never forget or forgive that.

Mark my words - Obama goes down by at least 10 points in November.  And never wins a presidential primary again.
