U.S. Senate candidate Rob Andrews added to his Middlesex County support today with endorsements from State Sen. Joseph Vitale, Assemblyman John Wisniewski, Woodbridge Mayor John McCormac, Carteret Mayor Dan Reiman, and East Brunswick Democratic Chairman Shawn Taylor. State Sens. Barbara Buono and Robert Smith announced their support of Andrews yesterday.
Incumbent Frank Lautenberg has the backing of Assemblymen Joseph Egan and Joseph Vas, the Mayor of Perth Amboy.
“Congressman Andrews and I have discussed our shared passion for bringing real universal health coverage to all New Jersey residents. I believe he will bring that same passion and commitment to all Americans as a U.S. Senator.", said Vitale, chairman of the Senate Health Committee. “Congressman Andrews has the skills, the priorities and the drive to be a worthy successor to Senator Lautenberg's legacy of tenaciously fighting for the interests of New Jersey's residents. I'm proud to stand with Congressman Andrews as we seek a better tomorrow for the Garden State."

John McCormac may be running on Andrews' slate for the 7th.
some rather huge endorsements
Andrews' past 24 hours couldn't have been any better when it comes to endorsements: Scutari, Buono, Vitale, Sarlo, Roberts, Sweeney, Adubato, and many, many more. He seems to have enough county lines right now to make some North Jersey inroads.
Andrews should be the next U.S. senator for this state, and I hope that other Dems join in the movement to get him elected.
Go Andrews, go Andrews!
The NJ GOP is awaiting you. This is a real opening for them in case the mighty Frank will be defeated. The only thing is that they will have to choose a candidate to lead them to November (we working on it, sort of). Who is going to lead Democrats and Republicans in that gladiator fight?
What lines?
Give me a break - Andrews doesn't have any lines in North Jersey. He has a bunch of bosses on his side and no one who has anything to lose.
Support from a bunch of hack state legislators being bullied by George Norcross might win elections in South Jersey but not in Middlesex.
And they certainly don't add up to any lines.
