Kate Whitman has raised over $430,000 for her campaign for the GOP nomination for Congress in the 7th district, with over $230,000 during the last three months. Her chief rival, State Sen. Leonard Lance, has not released any details of his fundraising.
“My campaign to change business as usual in Congress is a grassroots effort that started out small and is growing every day,” said Whitman. “I have personally knocked on over 1,000 doors and called over 1,000 taxpayers. The financial support grows everyday as do the volunteers joining our fight for change.”

You're up Lance
Kate has shown her widspread support... now it your turn, no more "I'll release it on April 15th.." (b.s.) Show us the money! (if there is any..)
Primary & General electoin funds
How much of the money is earmarked for the primary??? Thats the real dollar amount...not the combined amount she was touting in Janaury.
Nepotistic "Grassroots"
Come on, Kate, don't bury us with grassroots.
You're Mommy is a former Governor and EPA administrator.
You were communicatiosn director for the NH GOP.
You run Mommy's very influential national PAC.
And you would have us believe that your support is "grassroots"? Give us a break.
The only way that's true if it's blue grass like your blue blood.
It's true though...
Kate came to my door and personally talked with me and my fellow committee members... I've also received mailings and was on the town hall... What have I gotten from Sen. Lance? A recorded like message and a"Hi, my name is State Sen. Lance, and I'm running for the 7th Congressional District..." I had just met him the night before, he couldn't even remember my name or face!
Grassroots
Kate is starting to rival Hillary Clinton when it comes to shameless overdramatization. Next she'll jump ugly with combat vet Roughneen and claim that staring down the cop during her infamous beer can escapade was tantamount to combat action.
No dear. I agree with FormerlyAnonymous. Given your elite pedigree and the fact all you bring to the table is your mommy's name (does anyone dare posit that Kate would get even one vote if she wasn't a Whitman Scion?) your campaign best resembles astro-turf.
According to Sabrin's
According to Sabrin's campaign website, he has raised over $350k, despite being barred from appearing before some of the strongest GOP territory in New Jersey. Different race I know, but I had to snipe about what a completely lame move it was by Dale Florio to shut him out of the Somerset Co. Convention.
Regardless of her experience, or lack thereof, I do hand it to Kate for being approachable and going door-to-door personally. I like to see that in a candidate.
I listened to Lance last night, and heard a lot of noise, which didn't resonate much with me. I'd also like to see what he's raised and find out if he's resonating anywhere outside of the party leadership.
