Gov. Jon Corzine is expected to announce today that Jerold Zaro, a politically active attorney from Monmouth County, will replace Gary Rose as the new Chief of the Governor's Office of Economic Growth. Corzine plans to announce his economic growth plan in a major address on Thursday.
Zaro, 57, is the President and Managing Partner of Ansell Zaro Grimm & Aaron. He is a former Chairman of the New Jersey Highway Authority, and served on the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority. He also served as an Ocan Township Councilman.
According to his law firm website, "Mr. Zaro has devoted his entire professional career to commercial real estate, commercial and banking matters. He is also the managing partner of numerous commercial real estate partnerships, which own, maintain and operate office, industrial and retail property, together with over 500 apartment units, located in eight different states. Mr. Zaro believes that his experience in the real estate industry on behalf of these various partnerships provides him with a unique perspective and expertise which is an invaluable asset to the commercial real estate clients of Ansell Zaro Grimm & Aaron."
Zaro's law clients have included Commerce Bank, Roseland Properties, Food Circus Supermarkets, and K. Hovnanian Enterprises.

Zaro can't be that smart
He used to have John Bennett as a law partner. Bennett is an idiot and, guilt by association...
