District 7 U.S. Rep. Mike Ferguson has endorsed former Mass. Gov. Mitt Romney for president, according to Sen. Joseph Kyrillos, state chairman for the Romney campaign.

It goes to show...
Romney can even attract liberal Republicans. That, I think, makes Romney a better candidate in November; he is a Republican that can get support from moderate and conservative Republicans. McCain on the other hand only gets support from moderates. I would think the party would want a candidate that can bring everyone together - like Romney - and not someone who will push the base away - like McCain.
Just What We Need: More Limosene Liberals in the GOP
I live in the 7th CD. I must have written over 30 letters to Mike Ferguson asking him to consider voting one way or the other on proposed legislation; asking him to propose legislation; asking him to take a leadership role in advancing certain policies and/or programs. He NEVER ONCE RESPONDED TO ANY CORESPONDENCE I EVER SENT HIM. NEVER ONCE. HE NEVER EVEN ACKNOWLEDGED RECEIVING ANY OF IT.
I am a registered Republican, so I received all of Mike's self-congratulatory junk mail aimed at making him look like the reincarnation of Ronald Reagan or Mother Thersea . . . sometimes both at the same time. Pablum. Garbage. No substance.
This man was an utter fraud as a representative of the 7th CD. So it makes sense that he would support Romney . . . so as not to be a traitor to his class . . . and so he could go to the country club and hob-nob bit his fellow plutocrats without notice or criticism.
Last night, I saw Ann Coulter tell Sean Hannity that she would actively campaign for Hillary Clinton and vote for her if John McCain were nominated by the GOP faithful. Rush Limabugh is conducting a campaign against McCain in a like manner, maintaining that a McCain candidacy will bring down the GOP.
Romney is McCain without the faux "military hero" record and with an expensive haircut and custom made suit. Ferguson endorsed Romney. . . makes it a lot easier for me to hate both McCain and Romney . . . now equally.
Fergie
Ferguson endorsing Romney probably cost Mitt votes.
General
1) Romney a beter candidate in November? Sorry, no. McCain will get ALL of the GOP votes across the entire spectrum. No Republican is going to vote for Obama or Clinton. McCain will get the independent and even Democrat voters in greater numbers than Romney. McCain is anti-Bush. Romney hasn't separated himself from Bush effectively.
2) Conservative talk radio has never liked McCain since 2000. No surprise here.
3) Agree, Ferguson no good for Romney. Ferguson is tied to Bush. Romney didn't need this "endorsement". See my first comment.
