Washington Twp – 4th District Assembly Republican Candidate Agnes Gardiner sees that New Jersey's biggest problem is the mass exodus of residents and businesses from the State. New Jersey becoming unaffordable should be addressed in the State house.
The Corporate Tax rate is unattractive at 9%, which is fueling the exodus of our businesses. In 6 years, New Jersey has lost 77,000 manufacturing jobs because they can no longer afford to do business in this State. “If losing 77,000 jobs is not a wakeup call to our Legislators, what about all the 2nd, 3rd and 4th order jobs that were lost who depended on those 77.000 primary jobs. We have to take a closer look at our Corporate Tax structure. What we need is to entice businesses to our State and keep existing businesses from taking the exodus route.” Said Agnes Gardiner. “We need to nurture our business community and not starve them out. Only by making New Jersey a business friendly state, can we have revenue to fund the programs that are so important to our citizens.” Said Gardiner ###
“ We need to make New Jersey what it once was, an economic success and a revenue generating State through businesses and jobs. We are losing revenue on a daily basis by our businesses and residents leaving. New Jersey is unfriendly to our businesses and wage earners," said Agnes Gardiner. “We need to entice businesses to return to New Jersey, when they return so does our revenue. By having added revenue, we can help relieve the burden from the taxpayers, who have been carrying the loss for years," Said Gardiner.
