Reps. Scott Garrett and Rodney Frelinghuysen have endorsed Guy Gregg for the GOP State Senate nomination in the 24th district. Gregg, a seven-term Assemblyman, faces Sussex County Freeholder Steve Oroho for the seat of retiring State Sen. Robert Littell.
Garrett and Frelinghusyen are also expected to endorse Assemblywoman Alison Littell McHose for re-election. McHose, the daughter of the Senator, is running on a slate with Oroho.
“I served with Guy Gregg for nine years in the Assembly and not only did we share conservative principles and values, but Guy was always prepared to stand by and fight alongside me to advance those principles and values, said Garrett. “For thirteen years Guy has stood up in the Assembly for the residents of Sussex County and I know he will continue to do so in the Senate. His demonstrated leadership abilities will serve the district well in the State Senate."
“Guy Gregg has consistently fought for small and less intrusive government, said Frelinghuysen. “From his days as a small businessman, Assemblyman Gregg understood that it is government that can stand in the way of economic growth and expanding opportunities for all citizens. With those conservative principles as a guide, Guy has ably represented the residents of western Morris County and the 24th Legislative District. With great pride, I endorse Assemblyman Gregg for Senate.
