Republican fundraiser Joseph Caruso has accused Guy Talarico of hogging money raised at a Giuliani fundraiser for his own pet primary battle. The money, he said, was intended for local Republican campaigns against Democrats – not primaries.
Caruso resigned from his post as BCRO Finance Chairman last month to protest Talarico’s support of a slate of 40th district primary challengers led by State Senate Candidate Todd Caliguire to run against incumbent Kevin
O’Toole’s slate – the same primary battle that Caruso now accuses Talarico of using the Giuliani fundraiser money to finance. Caruso said some of that money was promised to Republican candidates in Rutherford, Northvale, Elmwood Park and Hasbrouck Heights. To date, he said, none of those candidates have received any of it.
“The people who donated to the Giuliani event that we managed did so believing they were supporting the GOP efforts to finance and win campaigns against Democrats. They did not want to fund Republican Primary challenges,"

Talarico..
Not suprising Talarico would pull this stunt. He needs to resign ASAP.
Ask for your money back
Anyone who donated to the BCRO Giuliani affair run by Joe Caruso believing the money was going to be used to defeat Democrats has been horribly Mislead. They should all demand their money back and force Talarico and Caliguire to raise their own money. Sorry Todd, there is no taxpayer matching fund for you to exploit this time, as you did in 2005.
