– Governor Jon S. Corzine today announced David Beckett as the new Director of the Governor’s Office of Employee Relations.Beckett has been in private practice since he received his law degree from UCLA in 1987, working at the firm of Szaferman, Lakind, Blumstein, Bader & Lehman in Lawrenceville. He has represented both public and private employees in a wide range of employment disputes. Beckett, who received a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania in 1980, resides in Lawrenceville.
The Governor’s Office of Employee Relations is primarily responsible for the labor relations function between the State, as employer, and its unionized workforce. The office has oversight responsibility over the labor relations function at all State Departments, agencies, and colleges.
