GOVERNOR CORZINE SIGNS LEGISLATION
TRENTON - Governor Jon S. Corzine today signed the following bills into law.
S-50/A-6 (Madden/Burzichelli, Manzo, Greenwald, Watson Coleman, Vainieri Huttle, Lampitt, Mayer, Cruz-Perez, Johnson) – Establishes the “New Jersey Tax and Fiscal Policy Study Commission� to study the State and local tax structure and related fiscal issues.
S-839/A-2854 (Bark/Chatzidakis, Bodine) – Establishes Forest Health Advisory Council in DEP.
S-1218/A-883 (Turner/Stanley, Stender, Conaway) – Establishes certain nutritional restrictions on food and beverages served, sold or given away to pupils in public and certain nonpublic schools.
A-2987/S-2012 (Watson Coleman, Steele, Johnson, Chivukula, Conaway/Turner, Girgenti) – Requires court to conduct inquiry at prosecutor’s request concerning source of bail funds where defendant is charged with crime with bail restrictions.
A-3675/S-2346 (Truitt, Stack, Cruz-Perez, Vas, Gordon, Manzo, Payne/Vitale, Kenny) – Appropriates $39,430,430 from “Garden State Green Acres Preservation Trust Fund� and various Green Acres bond funds, and appropriates or reappropriates certain other moneys, for local government open space acquisition and park development projects in “urban aid,� densely or highly populated, and other municipalities and counties.
