CHAIRMAN LEONE APPOINTS TASK FORCE TO EVALUATE HIGHER EDUCATION SYSTEM
TRENTON – Chairman of the New Jersey Commission on Government Efficiency and Reform (NJGEAR) Richard C. Leone today announced the membership of the Commission’s Higher Education Task Force.
“The members of this task force bring a broad spectrum of experience and insight on higher education issues,� said Chairman Leone. “I look forward to working on this team to provide our state’s emerging leadership with the highest quality education possible.�
The Higher Education Task Force will consist of nine members who will evaluate the accessibility, design and efficiency of higher education in New Jersey, including the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.
The Higher Education Task Force, which held their first meeting on May 16th, will provide the Commission with an initial report that will be submitted to the Governor.
The Commission was created by executive order on April 7, 2006 to evaluate the budget, structure and organization of New Jersey’s government.
