Gov. Jon Corzine today celebrated Sen. Hillary Clinton's Tuesday victories in Ohio, Texas and Rhode Island as significant in her ongoing primary battle with Sen. Barack Obama.
"I'm very excited about last night," said Corzine, a staunch Clinton backer. "Hillary Clinton won by hundreds of thousands of votes - a substantial victory - and she has the clear momentum.
She's the most qualified candidate to be President of the United States in either party.
"Whether you are talking about national security or international relations, women's rights, health care or the economy, she is in a leadership position," the governor added.
Corzine said the fact that the primary will continue is a good thing, as it will enable a full vetting of the issues, and build enthusiasm, which is bound to translate into turnout.
"Hillary rocks," said the governor, "and she's going to roll in Pennsylvania."

Wow! What a spin here...
If I recall HRC was already slated to win both states. She almost got it handed to her on a plate in Texas. Texans don't like NJ politics, like most states. Menendez was an albatross around her neck. He had nothing to do with her winning - neither did Corzine!
In Ohio, HRC got 75 delegates, Obama got 66. +9 Hardly a win!
In Rhode Island, HRC got 13, Obama 8. +5 Hardly a win!
In Texas, HRC got 82, Obama 78. +4 Hardly a win!
In Vermont, HRC got 6, Obama 9. -3 a small loss.
All told, HRC picked up 15 points on Obama. She still trails by over 140 delegates!
You're out pal, do as much damage to the economy in New Jersey while you can. It will just help to bolster the need for state cuts and the replacement of the incumbants.
