Following the post South Carolina departure of Sen. Fred Thompson from the presidential race, former Assemblyman Guy Gregg, state director of the Thompson campaign in New Jersey, announced today he would throw his support behind Mitt Romney.
"We need a businessman and someone with a fresher perspective outside of Washington," said Gregg, who will recommend to others in the Thompson camp that they back Romney.
Sen. Joseph Kyrillos, state director for the Romney campaign, said, "I am delighted that the Thompson leadership is now with the Romney campaign."

Poor choice of comments from Gregg
"A businessman with a fresher perspective outside..." With what we've seen going on here in NJ, Gregg should've come up with a better comment to recommend Romney. The same things were said about Corzine two years ago and we've seen how that turned out.

From one loser to another
Hope Guy gives him some strategy tips for winning NJ...he did so well in his run for US Senate.
Wow, Kyrillos and Gregg backing up Romney
That's a winning ticket. We need more teams like that in New Jersey.
