Among the members of the New Jersey League of Municipalities' Elected Officials Hall of Fame are: former Ocean Township Mayor Terrance Weldon, who was inducted in 2001 and pleaded guilty in 2002 to extorting money from developers; former Burlington Township Mayor Joseph Foy, pleaded guilty to income tax evasion as part of a plea bargain agreement earlier this year -- eight years after his Hall of Fame induction; former New Hanover Mayor Patrick Malloy, inducted in 1996, pleaded guilty in 2004 to witness tampering in a case involving no-bid paving contracts for a relative. Linden Mayor John Gregorio was inducted in 1999 -- sixteen years after forfeiting his mayoral office and State Senate seat following his criminal conviction, but nine years after a pardon allowed him to return to office. Louis Tedesco, the former Mayor of Little Ferry who was arrested twice on domestic violence charges, was inducted as a Hall of Famer in 1997.
